What should I expect to happen during my first visit?

 In Common Questions

When you come into our office for the first time, we will give you some forms to fill out that gather important information, including:

  • Your basic information, such as age, address, date of birth, etc.;
  • Health history, including medications that you’re currently taking and any allergies;

You’ll briefly meet with your dentist so that we can find out what brings you into our office. Some patients come in to have a specific issue examined, such as a toothache or broken tooth, while other first-time patients come in for a general checkup and to schedule a cleaning. No matter what the case is, we will make sure to accommodate your needs and address any concerns you have.

Then, the necessary x-rays will be taken, so that we have a record of the current state of your teeth and can more easily identify any problems that need to be addressed.

If there is an emergency situation that brings you into our practice, then we may skip some of the typical preliminary steps so that we can focus on correcting your problem as soon as possible.
